Simon Bloom

CEO

Simon is a Family Enterprise Consultant and CEO and founder of Simon Bloom Consultancy. He works with family enterprises to help multi-generational families with the organisational, relational and personal aspects of their lives. From both personal and professional experience, Simon understands the complex nature of family enterprises and the challenges facing the different generations within them.

Simon originally trained as a teacher and social worker, before his MSc in Organisational Psychology and qualification as an accredited Psychotherapist. He is currently studying for his PhD in Neuroscience at King’s College, London and divides his time between the UK, Europe, the USA and Israel; working with individual clients, family offices, Governmental and Non-Governmental Organisations and Charities. Alongside this, he is CEO of Reflections Therapy Services; bespoke individual, group and family psychotherapy clinic which is based in London.

Simon has delivered insightful speaking programs at a variety of conferences and forums including the FT Family Office Forum, Institutional Investor Forums – European Family Office Symposium, London Business School and has lectured for a number of years at King’s College on dealing with addiction in organisations.

Simon has recently written his first book based on insight from his work with family enterprises. ‘Passing The Buck – How To Avoid the 3rd Generation Wealth Trap’. The book explores issues facing the family office and skills and strategies to ensure enterprises thrive beyond the 3rd generation.

Simon is the 3rd generation of his family to run and own his own business. This together with his professional experience and training allows him to bring a unique perspective to the challenges facing families of complex wealth.

Married with three children, in his spare time Simon enjoys a variety of leisure pursuits including boxing, tai chi, diving and reading.

Aarti is an experienced marketer and has over ten years of experience within creative marketing consultancies and is responsible for SBC’s marketing and brand development. Aarti has a depth of experience in delivering lead generation campaigns using a mix of marketing activity.

Aarti has worked previously, at a number of leading marketing and PR consultancies including LEWIS PR, Midas PR, Hill & Knowlton and Grey.

Outside of the office Aarti enjoys travelling, honing her photography skills and experimenting in the kitchen, as well as spending quality ‘family’ time with her two daughters and husband.
